The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and that the Old and New Testaments are supernaturally inspired, inerrant in the original writing, infallible, and the final authority for all Christian faith, life, and conduct for every age.

The Godhead

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, without any change in His eternal Deity, became man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe Christ accomplished our redemption through His atoning death on the cross as a perfect and complete sacrifice, and our justification is made sure by His shed blood and His literal physical resurrection from the dead. We believe Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, whereas our High Priest and Head of the Church, He acts as our Intercessor, Advocate, and will one day return and reign forever.

The Condition of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin, the entire race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. We believe that man is totally depraved, lost, and of himself completely unable to remedy his lost condition. However, God’s plan of redemption was promised to His first people in assuring them that someone would come and crush the head of Satan.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body and espoused Bride of Christ. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God in joyful worship, compassionate acts of mercy, and extending His kingdom to all nations. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures.

Missions

We believe that God is a missional God whose desire for all nations to know Him has been outlined from Genesis to Revelation. Members of every tribe, tongue, language, and people will worship Him someday. Therefore, it is the obligation and privilege of the saved to witness by life and word to the truths of the Scriptures, to seek to proclaim the gospel, and in turn, make disciples of all nations.

The Father

We believe that God is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.  As Creator of everything out of nothing, His glory is manifested in creation, and He made humans in His image.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the untamable presence of God on earth who gives spiritual gifts to His people.  Like a wind that blows wherever it wishes, His ways are mysterious, powerful, and necessary for any hope of eternal transformation from death to life.  He is the ultimate Helper; He glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ and convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. We believe that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration at conversion, baptizing all believers into the Body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them until the Day of Redemption. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher, who guides believers in all truth, and that He fills and empowers believers for Godly living, passionate worship, and willing service.

Salvation

We believe that salvation, with its forgiveness of sins, its regeneration unto a new nature, and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, or man’s effort. We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to men by grace and is received by repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning death and resurrection provide the only ground of justification and salvation. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept in God’s power and thus secure in Christ forever. We also believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation as stated in God’s Word, but to realize that sin may interrupt the joy of the believer’s fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of the Heavenly Father.

The Eternal State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to eternal judgment and everlasting punishment. We believe that the souls of the redeemed are at death absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await their resurrection when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth.
